Sublime April 29, 1992

Sublime April 29, 1992

 AVAILABLE TODAY AT 2PM EDT!

After many requests we're excited to announce our very first officially licensed Sublime limited edition print! Sublime's self-titled album rocketed them into the limelight in the summer of 1996. The album spawned several radio hits as well as some of their best-known album cuts including the beloved deep track, April 29, 1992 (or sometimes referred to as April 26, 1992), which tells the tale of the 1992 L.A. Riots, events which occurred thirty years ago.

We've long been fans of illustrator Tom J. Newell (not related to Bradley J. Nowell, its just a happy coincidence) who is renowned for his recognizable hand drawn bold monochromatic line-work, and are glad he accepted our invitation to design our first piece for Sublime!

“I wanted to depict the recognisable image of the tattooed back as a monolith that had landed there, with a portal opening up and steps descending out. The band, the album and their music contained within offering a haven from the chaos on the streets surrounding it.” - Tom J Newell, April 28, 2022
