Leon Russell, the Master of Space and Time, is among an elite group of musicians to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and win a Grammy Award. Elton John, who had once been Russell's opening act, acknowledged him as his "biggest influence as a piano player, a singer and a songwriter."
Russell's biggest hit, A Song For You, was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2018; and has been recorded by scores of prominent recording artists including Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Willie Nelson, Amy Winehouse and most famously Donny Hathaway. It's an intimate song about the quest for forgiveness and understanding from an estranged lover, which finds Russell singing about the deep connection between the two subjects. If there is healing in music, and we believe there is, this song has no equal.
A Song For You recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and Dave Kloc created these official screenprints not only commemorating the anniversary, but honoring the great Leon Russell.
