Behind the Poster: Willie Nelson Austin 1974
We are excited to announce the release of our second official Willie Nelson concert poster, and our debut collaboration with Ken Taylor! This print commemorates Willie Nelson's two concerts on June 29th and 30th in 1974 at The Texas Opry House, which took Willie from a Nashville songwriter to a Country rebel. These shows took place only a few months after Willie released one of the best concept albums ever, Phases and Stages. Those in attendance witnessed Willie and his band at their finest, showcasing the full range of his material from classics written a decade before like Crazy, to his then-current hits like Whiskey River. These concerts represent Willie his giving the high-sign to Nashville, and embracing his new musical home.

This illustration highlights Ken Taylor's brilliant line work and shading. This truly feels authentic to the period with a 70's rock poster vibe. The prints are available in two editions, the Main Edition with sepia tones; and the Variant Edition which features cool tones. Both are extremely limited edition for Ken Taylor artwork, with only 100 Main Edition and 35 Variant Edition prints available on August 20th!
