Released in late '91 and early '92, Mötley Crüe's first best-of collection Decade of Decadence couldn't have been more appropriately titled. Whether the subject matter was strippers ("Girls, Girls, Girls") or the occult ("Shout at the Devil"), from 1981-1991 Crüe delighted in some of rock's most glorious decadence since Ozzy Osbourne, Zeppelin and the Stones. Now thirty years from the release of this epic collection, we look back at Mötley Crüe's place in history and recognize how influential Crüe are making it fashionable for headbangers to embrace punk.
It was an honor to create this Decade of Decadence commemorative poster for the world’s most notorious rock band, Mötley Crüe. Their personal style and stage presence within that decade is truly iconic and left a lasting footprint on rock ‘n’ roll. -Carin Hazmat
